(from amazon.com via SkyRiver): The long-awaited fourth and
final graphic novel collecting the adventures of Elijah
Snow, a powerful, hundred year old man, Jakita Wagner, an
extremely powerful but bored woman, and The Drummer, a man
with the ability to communicate with machines. Infatuated
with tracking down evidence of super-human activity, these
mystery archaeologists of the late 20th Century uncover
unknown paranormal secrets and histories, such as a World
War II supercomputer that can access other universes, a
ghostly spirit of vengeance, and a lost island of dying
monsters. In this volume, the team encounters an abandoned
alien spacecraft, but will the heroes beat their rival,
Jacob Greene of the villainous "Four," to the ship? Then,
Elijah Snow begins to pull back from his allies, acting
increasingly in secret. Will he be able to draw the last of
the Four out of hiding, and can he act before his teammates
lose their faith in him? -- Science fiction genre. -- Call

revealed to her the secret of their world, that it is only
one of many in a clockwork solar system; but it is dying
and to save her home, she must first escape it. The Orrery
is a fully functional, life-size clockwork solar system, a
clutch of planets orbiting a vast Brass Sun via immense
metal spars. But the once-unified collection of worlds has
regressed into eccentric fiefdoms, and ice is encroaching
on the outer planets as the sun is dying. Wren and Eptimus
must find the key to restart the sun, but first must escape
the world known as The Keep. -- Science fiction genre. --

penciller, Curt Swan ; inker, Josef Rubinstein ; letterer,
Albert De Guzman ; colorist, Gene D'Angelo, editor, Julius
Schwartz. 8 p. in Superman, no. 408 (June 1985) -- Summary
(by Mary Walker): Superman finds a large intergenerational
ship with a war raging on board most of the vessel while
the control center seems at peace. He finds that the
navigational caste has no idea of what is going on in the
rest of the ship and little contact except in emergencies.
Superman then goes to the main areas of the ship to stop
the war. The combatants stop long enough to explain that
they have "divided into nations according to our various
races and religions. Differences inevitably lead to
conflict!" and then resume their fighting. He wishes they
could be persuaded to work together as they did in building
the ship in the first place--that thought gives him an
idea. He sends the ship to a suitable, uninhabited planet
and they disembark taking their personal belongings and the
useful machinery but leaving the weapons behind. A pleased
Superman looks on at the aliens who have put violence and
hate aside to make a new civilization. -- Call no.:
