   reprinted from All-Star Comics, no. 27 (Winter 1945). --
Summary: Fred Monday is a star football player, and his kid
brother Jimmy can't walk. Fred pities Jimmy. Then Fred gets
drafted, fights overseas, and loses an arm. Jimmy's letters
try to cheer him up, but Fred starts realizing what being
pitied feels like. Jimmy tells Fred about the lives of six
of his friend that he has been exchanging letters with.
Fred takes the problem to the JSA, saying, "I want those
kids to have a chance to prove that in spite of their
handicaps, they are well-regulated, thinking, normal human
beings!" Fred compares a child with cerebral palsy to a
general trying to control and army without adequate
communications, but with the bravery to keep fighting. The
JSA hatches a plan to involve Jimmy's friends in crime
fighting, the heroes draw names, and off they go. At the
end of the adventures the Society gets back together with
Jimmy and Fred. All six of Jimmy's friends have proven
their brains and courage, and the JSA is inspired to make a
pledge, to treat the physically handicapped as "fully our
equals." -- The pages of this sequence are numbered A-F and

Summary: Alka Seltzer and Angina Pectoris are homeless, when a dying man gives them his apartment. They trade his body in for the deposit, which includes a job for Alka, in a money-breeding farm. Angina's aborted foetus, Pixy, calls and makes her read bedtime stories for eighteen hours on the telephone. Angina can't take it, and tells Alka it's his turn to kill their child. Alka tries to get a visa to the Kingdom of the Dead and fails, but meets Chlamydia, who gives him a time-killer pill in exchange for the use of his body. In the Kingdom of the Dead, Alka gets a new body and parents, and starts to live a new life backwards. He kills the parents, and goes to a time bank to donate some time and get some cash while he's looking for Pixy. While there he finds out how to get to the aborted foetus district, though everyone else is afraid to go there. In the district, he make friends with his son Pixy and they decide to go back to see Angina together. Angina leaves them, and Alka takes Pixy to work, where Pixy liberates the money. They go nightclubbing, and the money gets drunk and explodes. Soon both Angina and Alka get recycled bodies. Angina cooks her old body for dinner, but Alka's new body falls in love with him. The death police come to retrieve Pixy and kill the parents, and they deport the extra Alka with Pixy. Pixy spends their ticket money on drugs, so they get thrown from the train between life and death. They land in the land where milk cartons are written, get a car, and head back to the Kingdom of the Dead. The aborted district won't let Alka in, but Chlamydia finds him and says his body is at her place, so they head there together.
