Une oeuvre dont le réalisme s'impose comme un véritable enjeu artistique." -- English summary (from p. 138): "Realism in Le Bar à Joe. Le Bar à Joe (Joe's Bar), a rendezvous where thousands of destinies interweave, gave Muñoz and Sampayo the idea for a series of stories that departs from the conventions of narrative in vogue in comics in an attempt to convey the depth of real life. Jean-Philippe Martin examines the narrative disorder which appears to be rampant in these stories, the great abundance of visual information, the status of the spoken word, and the way in which elements of reality find their way into this fiction." -- Includes bibliographical references. -- Call no.: folio PN6700.N44no.3 ----------------------------------------------------- Joe's Bar--Miscellanea.
