- "Heinz schmeisst eine Orgie" p. 3. --
Summary: Rudi and Fred arrive at Heinz's
flat expecting a smashing party but find Heinz
completely drunk dreaming of throwing a Roman orgy (with
Asterix and Obelix taking part).
- "Die Urlaubsvertretung" p. 4. --
Summary: In a broad allegory on typical
German proletarian neighborhoods Rudi offers to look after
his sexy (and sexually very active) female neighbor's plants
and cats while she's away, and ends up sexually abused in her
apartment one night when he forgets his keys.
- "Partytips" p. 5. -- Summary: This
party-guide shows Rudi confronted with typical problems in
organizing and throwing a private party.
- "Q.E.D.!" p. 6-7. -- Summary: Quod Erat
Demonstrandum. Plays with stereotypes in German society,
referring to racism, neo-nazism, youth culture, minorities,
certain occupations, machismo, smokers and flirting
behavior.
- "Heinz auf Urlaub" p. 8-9. -- Summary:
Heinz simulates the "perfect" beach vacation in his
apartment.
- "Noch mehr Partytips" p. 10. -- Summary:
Shows how important it is to fit into the partying crowd,
commenting ironically on recent trends such as theme parties
(e.g. showing Rudi and Fred having a Third Reich Party) and
inviting your neighbors.
- "Die Killer" p. 11. -- Summary: Rudi and
Fred appear to be robbers intruding on a suburban family and
threatening them with guns, but turn out to be greeting card
messengers for the family's father's birthday hired by his
sports club fellows.
- "Rohe Weihnachten" p. 12. -- Summary:
Rudi doesn't like the consumer oriented Christmas season in
Germany so he and Fred change the taped voice of the
department store's gigantic Santa Claus figure, confronting
the customers with their narrow-minded concept of Christmas
and turning it from merry ("frohe") into rude ("rohe").
- "A New Year's Carol" p. 13. -- Summary:
In an allusion to Dickens' "Christmas Carol" Rudi does not
welcome the ghosts of his last year's resolutions and
embraces his future resolutions (e.g. eating more fat stuff,
reading more porn). With guest appearances of Disney's Uncle
Scrooge and Donald Duck.
- "Speed III" p. 14. -- Summary: In a
vague parody of the "Speed" movies starring Sandra Bullock,
Rudi drives drunk and thinks he is being followed by a police
car he sees in his rear view mirror. It turns out to be a gag
sticker put there by his friend Fred.
- "Auf Wohnungssuche" p. 15-19. --
Summary: Shows in an ironical way the
problems of finding an apartment nowadays: going through ads,
dealing with realtors and landlords, and the different types
of showings.
- "Rudi kann nicht schlafen" p. 20. --
Summary: An insomniac Rudi tries different
things to get some sleep, lands in a bar with Freud, Hitler,
Elvis, Marilyn Monroe and Jesus and in the end wakes up
because he fell out of bed (reference to Hopper's
"Nighthawks" painting).
- "In der Service-Wüste" p. 21. --
Summary: In a critical parody of German
customer services through time Rudi and his friends endure
hotlines, arrogance, and ignorant clerks.
- "Rudi und Fred erholen sich" p. 22-23. --
Summary: In a mass touristic beach panorama
Rudi and Fred are trying to relax but one of them suffers
from flatulence and the other has a cold.
- "Falsche Antwort!" p. 24. -- Summary:
Examples of how life-threatening posing the wrong question or
giving the wrong answer can be (with German police,
neo-nazis, Turkish gangs, women's movement, and
psychopaths).
- "Merry XXX-Mas!" p. 25. -- Summary:
Shows Rudi and Fred in their Christmas jobs. The first is
being a department store Santa Claus and dealing with
cursing, ill-bred children and the latter is taking part in a
porn movie.
- "Ein Tag im Baumarkt" p. 26. -- Summary:
A parody on the growing home-improvement markets and garden
centers and the always more exciting presentation of new
products.
- "Der Umzug" p. 27-30. -- Summary: An
ironic guide to the "perfect" moving day.
- "Die neuen Nachbarn (House Wars)" p. 31-33. --
Summary: After moving into their new
apartment, problems with the neighbors start: Rudi and Fred
imagine several different ways to make their young
techno-listening neighbors turn the music down. One way would
be running amok, with allusions to the Columbine case and
"Pulp Fiction".
- "Stille Tage in Oberbayern" p. 34-36. --
Summary: To recover from the stress with
their neighbors Rudi and Fred go on vacation to meet Rudi's
cousin in Bavaria. Deals with various local stereotypes like
religious beliefs, political conservatism, and
backwardness.
- "Die Party des Milleniums" p. 37. --
Summary: On their way to a VIP millenium
science fiction party Rudi and Fred get lost and end up with
a religious sect believing in the arrival of saviors from the
planet Venus.
- "2001 - Odysee im Treppenhaus" p. 38. --
Summary: Shows Rudi and Fred in an
adaptation of M.C. Eschers "Relativität" discussing the
meaning of the panel concerning the new year 2001.
- "New No Economy" p. 39. -- Summary: A
parody on e-business and internet start-up enterprises.
- "Wie werde ich schnell reich" p. 40-41. --
Summary: Shows many different ways to get
rich, e.g. the stock market, being a candidate in a TV-show,
marrying rich old people, or becoming a comic artist.
- "Die Abstauber" p. 42-43. -- Summary:
Rudi and Fred figure out how to receive free extras from
companies like samples in supermarkets, test drives at car
dealers, or electronic gadgets from newspaper
subscriptions.
- "Der Kleingärtner" p. 44-45. -- Summary:
Rudi tries to become the heir of his rich aunt by caring for
her garden while she's in the hospital, but a fascist army of
snails has to be beaten first. The "post-war" restoration of
the garden costs a fortune but his aunt is happy. She
announces that she is going to will everything to a garden
association.
- "Umsonst draussen" p. 46. -- Summary:
Illustrates ironically the various advantages of watching
movies in summer at outdoor movie festivals.
- "Peter Pucks Audiokommentar" p. 47-48. --
Summary: Comments on background of the
stories in this album.
