"Juego de Niñas" p. 31-44 in Kraken, by Antonio Segura and
Jordi Bernet (Barcelona : Toutain Editor, 1984). --
Summary: Scavengers have been finding human fetuses in the
sewer, and Dante's group is ordered to cooperated with a
surface policewoman, Sergeant Maria, in investigating an
abortion ring. They succeed in narrowing the focus of
Maria's search by finding which pipe the fetuses are coming
from, and Dante falls in love. Weeks later Dante gets a
call in the sewer from Maria, who says she's sure she's
found the abortion clinic. She's going to drop something
into the drain to confirm the location, and he should watch
the outlet pipe. Before she hangs up the telephone we see a
menacing figure watching Maria, and when Dante gets his net
in place under the pipe the first thing that lands in it is
   Maria's severed head. -- Call no.: PN6777.S45K7 1984
