In Hergé's Tintin in the Land of the Soviets, gullible tourists are being shown fake factories. Also in Tintin in America, Tintin and Snowy are almost turned into corned beef in a factory that goes on strike just in time. In the story "The Sand Man," in the Loustal & Paringaux album Love Shots, a former supervisor hides in his deserted factory. See also

Factory Workers

In the album Dixie Road, Dixie's mother is in trouble for trying to organize factory workers. And again it's the mother who works in a factory in the 2nd and 3rd volumes of Giardino's A Jew in Communist Prague. In the first story of Ulf K's The Man on the Moon and Other Stories, it's a bored factory worker who makes it to the moon. Enki Bilal's The Town that Didn't Exist, the factory workers are on strike when the boss dies.
