Cyb then kidnaps Burton just before the fight, so the fighter's owner has to forfeit and pay off the bets. Together Burton and Cyb have taken five thousand in the prepayment, and ten thousand in bets. "Make a Better God" p. 11-16 -- Summary: Burton and Cyb are hired by a priest to do some animation and special effects inside an old god that is not sufficiently feared any more. The technology fails, the priest is killed, and Burton and Cyb are caught by the potential worshippers, who demand an explanation. After a conference, they decide to hire Burton and Cyb to finish the job so they can use the god to fool other tribes. "Jelly Fish from Outer Space" p. 17-24 -- Summary: Burton and Cyb need a part for their ship, and the planet's inhabitants want too much. They complain that a giant jellyfish is attacking everything, their weapons are useless, and the price of everything has gone up. While this exchange is happening, the jellyfish attacks and Burton chases it away with the sonic cannon in his ship. Cyb refuses to sell the cannon, so Burton shoots him and soon has collected a big price for the cannon. They leave towing Marietta, their pet jellyfish, while Burton repairs the hole in Cyb's chest. "The Invasion" p. 25-32 -- Summary: Burton & Cyb, with three helpers, take over a Legion communications satellite. Then Burton & Cyb crash-land by a Legion fortress on a nearby planet, claiming they were attacked by a warship disguised as a certain metallic asteroid. The commander doesn't believe them until a message from their communications satellite confirms the story and indicates an invasion in progress. The commander sends missiles to pulverize the asteroids in the region, then abandons the fortress. Burton and Cyb are then ready to call in miners to collect the easily-gathered precious metals pulverized from the asteroid, and the pair also starts figuring what kind of scam to pull with the abandoned fortress. "Excalibur" p. 33-40 -- Summary: Burton makes fun of Cyb for having been scammed. Cyb has bought a treasure map that tells where King Arthur's legendary sword is to be found. Whoever pulls it from the stone is emperor of the universe. Cyb says he'll pay back Burton's half of the purchase price, so if they do find the sword it's all his, and Burton agrees. Just then they find a castle, like the map says, and follow the map to a chamber where an ancient knight in armor guards the sword. Cyb tries to pull the sword out, but can't. Burton wants to try, but Cyb won't let him, until Burton offers him everything he's got. The sword then comes out easily, and Cyb and the old knight double over laughing. "Wonder Fish" p. 41-48 -- Summary: A despot has paid a lot for a fishing trip to an ocean planet where there aren't actually any fish. Burton has guaranteed that he will catch a devilfish, but the despot gets a powerful bite before Cyb can attach the tame fish they've brought along for the scam. The catch turns out to be a torpedo, sent by one of the despot's subjects in an assassination attempt. The fishing boat is destroyed, and Burton and Cyb escape on a jet ski pursued by a real fish, very large and predatory-looking. These summaries are from European Comics in English
