Bruchlinien : drei Episoden zum NSU / Paula Bulling, Anne

ill. ; 32 cm. -- Summary (from OCLC): Der NSU-Prozess lässt

   Burundarena" / Héctor D. Fernández L'Hoeste. p. 189-200 in
Revista Latinoamericana de Estudios Sobre la Historieta v.
6, no. 20 (Dic. 2005).
vista." -- "Abstract: Maitena Burundarena has enjoyed
remarkable success in recent years. Throughout Latin
America, her books appear in its main bookstores,
heightening the profile of a medium that was, until
recently, the exclusive domain of men. yet, precisely
because of its accuracy in the dissection and analysis of
gender politics, Maitena's work bears troubling dimensions.
This text argues that, in terms of class and race, Maitena
fails to portray a more inclusive picture." -- Abstracts as

   Historieta v. 6, no. 20 (Dic. 2005).
-- "Abstract: This article proposes a debate on two opposed
subjects: the second version of the comic "El Eternauta,"
published in the magazine Gente in 1969, and the
organization of the First International Comics Biennial,
that took place in the Institute Di Tella, 1968. While "El
Eternauta' published in Gente was characterized by the
radicalization of the political thought of writer Héctor
Oesterheld, and the comic artist Albrto Breccia's graphic
and stylistic experimentation, the culture event in the Di
Tella Institute was supposed to be a confrontation between
art and the culture of the masses. My hypothesis is that it
was a kind of invasion that can be read in a double sense.
On one hand, the invasion from the outside: the alien
usurpation that the comic displays as an explicit metaphor
of North American Imperialsm and Third World colonization.
On the other hand, the invasion from the inside: the
popular and massive cultural arrival at the Di Tella
Institute with the organization of an exhibition of
original artwork, discussion forums and papers about the
national comic. The last question of this work is about the
possiblility of building a vanguard movement and the taking
of a political position in the very core of the Mass
Industry. In order to achieve my goals, I think over these
practices, only seemingly opposed in a particularly complex
moment of Argentinan history." -- Abstracts as published
