The Killer Condom

The Killer Condom / Ralf König ; translated by J.D. Steakley. -- New York : Catalan Communications, 1992. -- 62 p. : ill. ; 23 cm. -- Kondom des Grauens, in English. -- Characters: Gay men. -- Detective and funny horror genres. -- Call no.: PN6757.K6K613 1992

Summary: In a sleazy hotel on 46th Street, New York City, men are losing their penises, and the teeth marks suggest they are being bitten off. The suspects, college students, hookers and sex buddies, are all different. The common circumstance is that, at first, it all happens in room 408. After working on one of the cases, police lieutenant Macaroni goes back to room 408 for some recreation, and gets his testicle bitten off. He sees what does it: it's a condom with teeth, that hisses and jumps. Disguised as a regular complimentary hotel condom, it lurks in room 408 preying on penises. The rest of the police force doesn't believe him, so when Macaroni gets out of the hospital he goes after it with gun and video camera. He has to shoot some innocent condoms along the way, but finally tricks the killer condom into biting a gas line. He inflates it, ties it off, throws it out the window and shoots it out of the sky.

"Le Grand Combat" p. 34-50 in Sous le Ciel de l'Ouest /
textes et dessins de Morris, in Lucky Luke : Spécial 2
   (Marcinelle-Charleroi, Belgique : Dupuis, 1980). --
Summary: Lucky Luke comes across a fellow who can't read,
but who can knock out a charging bull with one punch, and
who carries his horse when the horse needs a rest. The
man's name is Percival Belden. Lucky Luke offers to be his
manager and set up a boxing match with Killer Kelly, as
Kelly is offering a $10,000 prize to anyone who can beat
him. Percival agrees because he'd like to have enough money
to marry Rosita, and so "Battling Belden the Butcher" is
born. After a full set of gags about boxing and betting,
the fight is about to begin when Rosita is kidnapped. A
note says that if Belden wins the fight he'll never see
Rosita again. Belden gets in the ring and starts letting
himself be knocked down, while Lucky Luke rides out in
search of Rosita, returning just in time to allow Belden to
win the match with one punch. -- Call no.: PN6747.M64L804
