Ahmed-Shah confines his beautiful daughter, Thaca Reem, to the
palace while waiting for a suitable husband to come along. The
princess is lonely, and consults a black magician about getting
some company. The magician manages to conjure Thaca Reem's lost
lover, Ali, but he can only stay by sharing her with his forty
accomplices. This story also appears in Heavy Metal,

"The Relic" 11 p. -- Summary: A king puts
out a reward for the head of a dangerous giant, without knowing
that the giant is actually his daughter's favorite playmate.
Mercenaries come to kill the giant, and catch the daughter on
her way to warn him. While the mercenaries are assaulting her,
the giant comes, kills the mercenaries, and is killed. The
princess amputates a souvenir. This story also appears in
Heavy Metal, v. 23, no. 6 (Jan. 2000), p. 94-104. --

woman soldier is badly wounded and dies on the operating table

stepmother plots to have her dead husband's daughter killed

daughter and become the new king.
