At the end of his act a giant six-foot wedge of cheese will take on all comers in a wrestling match. John, Balbo's agent, is skeptical, as is Percy Tibbles, the wrestler who takes the challenge at the urging of his own agent. "Aw gee, I dowanna! I never wrestled no cheese before!" After he loses to the cheese, Percy steals it, and tries to hold a demonstration of his own by beating the cheese the next morning, but he still can't beat it. The cheese takes off across a tightrope. Both Percy and Balbo follow it, and Balbo ends up having to rescue Percy. It is revealed to the reader that a large battery-powered gyroscope holds the cheese upright. Balbo switches the fighting cheese for a real one, and Percy steals it and tries to eat it for strength. Percy's manager tries to sign the cheese as a wrestler. -- Call no.: folio PN6728.M38no.43 ----------------------------------------------------- "Balbo's Running Cheese" (Balbo's Own Magic Page) p. 65 in Master Comics, no. 43 (Oct. 1943). -- Call no.: folio PN6728.M38no.43 ----------------------------------------------------- Tommy Gun, Fierce Dyke Adventures. -- Mangilao, Guam : Poser Zines, . -- ill. ; 22 cm. -- "A Christians humor me publication." -- New wave. -- LIBRARY HAS: no. 7-8 (1998). -- Call no.: PN6728.55.P62T6 ----------------------------------------------------- **** NEW CATALOGING AND INDEXING FOR JULY 21, 2003: ----------------------------------------------------- Pro Shpionov : po materialam gazety "Krasnaia zvezda" za 1938 god / khudozhnik Viktor Tikhomirov ; avtor proekta Mikhail Sapego. -- SPb : "Krasnyi matros", 2002. -- 22 p. : ill. ; 17 cm. -- (Seriia "Pro--" ; kn. 6) -- Includes bibliographical references. -- Cartoons about spies. -- Call no.: DK267.P76 2002 ----------------------------------------------------- Vision Parcial : Album de Historietas / Roberto Goiriz. -- Asunción, Paraguay : El Lector, 1991. -- 63 p. : ill. ; 28 cm. -- Call no.: PN6790.P353G6 1991 ----------------------------------------------------- Visions of Curves : the Erotic Art of Todd Borenstein. -- Seattle, WA : Eros Comix, 1994- . -- ill. ; 26 cm. -- LIBRARY HAS: no. 1, 3. -- Began with no. 1 (Apr. 1994). -- Pinup art. -- Call no.: PN6727.B625V5 1994 ----------------------------------------------------- Visions of the Floating World : the Cartoon Art of Japan : Cartoon Art Museum, San Francisco, May 27-September 5, 1992. -- San Francisco : Cartoon Art Museum, 1992. -- 32 p. : ill. ; 28 cm. -- call no.: PN6790.J3V47 1992 ----------------------------------------------------- A Visit to Walt Disney World : Coloring Book. -- Racine, Wis. : Western, 1971. -- 60 p. : ill. ; 28 cm. -- (A Whitman Book) -- Call no.: GV1853.3.F62W35 1971 ----------------------------------------------------- The Visitor / by (your name here) ; illustrated by Sal Murdocca. -- New York : Random House, 1983. -- 94 p. : ill. ; 22 cm. -- (Write Your Own Story Book) -- Story without words. -- Call no.: PN6727.M75V5 1983 ----------------------------------------------------- The Visitor. -- New York : Valiant, 1995- . -- col. ill. ; 26 cm. -- Began with no. 1 (Apr. 1995). -- Superhero genre. -- LIBRARY HAS: no. 1, 9 (1995). -- Call no.: PN6728.6.V6V5 ----------------------------------------------------- The Visitors / by J.T.C. -- Chino, Calif. : Chick Publications, 1984. -- 24 p. : ill. ; 8 x 13 cm. -- Religious comic on the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and Mormons. -- Call no.: PN6728.C47V5 1984 ----------------------------------------------------- La Vita Privata di Nick Carter. -- Milan?, 1980? -- 1 v. : col. ill. ; 22 cm. -- Detective genre. -- Call no.: PN6767.V5V5 1980z ----------------------------------------------------- Vital-Man. -- Covington, KY : Infinity Graphics, 1987- . -- ill. ; 26 cm. -- Began with no. 1 (Oct. 1987). -- Superhero comic book. -- LIBRARY HAS: no. 1. -- Call no.: PN6728.55 .I48V5 ----------------------------------------------------- Vite! : Dessins de Presse Tracés dans l'Urgence / Martin Veyron. -- Paris : Albin Michel, 1988. -- 1 v. : ill. ; 32 cm. -- Call no.: PN6747.V44 V5 1988 ----------------------------------------------------- Vito / Saladrigas. -- Barcelona : Toutain, 1984. -- 96 p. : ill. ; 28 cm. -- (Jovenes Autores Españoles) -- Call no.: PN6777.S27V5 1984 ----------------------------------------------------- Vivement ce Soir qu'on se Couche / Charlie Schlingo. -- Paris : Echo de Savanes/A.
