Dante, Lieutenant.
"Kraken" p. 7-12 in Kraken, by Antonio Segura and Jordi
Bernet (Barcelona : Toutain Editor, 1984). -- Summary: The
surface police chase three robbers and kill one, but two
escape into Sewer Three, out of their jurisdiction.
Lieutenant Dante and the Subterranean Action Group take up
the chase and kill the men. While fishing for the bodies
they find an unexpected corpse, dead but still moving.
Dante says that the Kraken has left a small part of itself

the Kraken is in the sewers, and cremates the infected
