   "Betsy Bell and her grandfather have found a temporary home
   on Cactus Canyon Ranch. When Loko, a bucking broncho, threw
   Betsy she had to spend six weeks in a wheel chair. To
   interest her, Uncle Mack, owner of the ranch, told her the
   story of Injun Joe's buried treasure. The Indian, as he lay
   dying, babbled something about burying a box containing
   treasure. He gave Uncle Mack a key and a faded code and map

   Summary: It's Spring, and Lucky Luke comes to the Bar 3
   ranch looking for a job. If he can break a wild bucking
   horse named "Polka," he gets the job. Lucky Luke borrows
   some suspenders, ties himself to the saddle, and the deed
   is soon done. The work of sorting and branding is
   accomplished, and a stampede is stopped by Lucky Luke and
   the Chinese cook. Back at the Bar 3, the owner is concerned
   to find he has 200 fewer head of cattle than last year.
   Lucky Luke discovers that two rustlers have been changing
   the "-3" brand to "4B," and brings them to justice. -- Call

Bucking Up.
   "The Man with Two Faces!" (Kent Blake) 5 p. in Kent Blake
   of the Secret Service, no. 5 (Jan. 1952). -- Summary: The
   little Balkan country of Holtzenburg is rich in plutonium
   and a supplier to U.S. "atomic research."  The dictator is
   leaning toward the left recently, and that threatens the
   supply of plutonium. An opponent in an upcoming election,
   Tolstan Fernack, wants U.S. guided democracy. Blake finds
   that the dictator has married a communist wife, and that
   "all his manhood, his guts, are gone."  Kent convinces him
   to buck up, but his wife then kills him.  A scheduled
   speech to the people is given by an impersonator, who
   announces his retirement and urges the people to vote for
